While fans still appreciate the film, Roopa has announced her next project, Gochara, clarifying that it is not a sequel to Gantumoote but has connections to it. Inspired by her own solo travel experiences, Roopa shares that Gochara explores a woman's solo journey, highlighting societal perceptions and challenges faced by women who travel alone. Through rich experiences across India, the protagonist's story aims to empower women and challenge stereotypes about women travelers.
